Adjunct Professor of Law

Rudolph McGann, J.D., is a practicing attorney and adjunct professor at the David A Clarke School of Law. His main area of practice is in the field of Election Law, and he serves as a staff attorney for the District of Columbia Board of Elections. Professor McGann serves as legal counsel for the board in all matters before District of Columbia courts. In addition to serving as counsel for the agency, Professor McGann also monitors elections abroad for NGOs. He most recently monitored Egypt's Presidential election of Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in May of 2014 as a part of a delegation from Democracy International. Professor McGann also serves as a discussion facilitator for the Interactivity Foundation, and he is currently engaged in a year-long project discussing the future of sports in society. He is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and serves as the Recording Secretary of the Mu Lambda chapter chartered in Washington, D.C.

Professor McGann is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Howard University, where he earned his B.A. in political science with a minor concentration in business administration, and the Howard University School of Law, where he earned his J.D. He is an active member of the bar in New York and the District of Columbia, and he lives with his family in Washington, D.C.
