Maryland Delegate Keiffer Mitchell (D-Baltimore), '94, says the Baltimore public school system has made progress over the years.
"You can't look at one thing. Just look at the progress the city schools
are making. I remember, as a city councilman, coming down here 10 years
ago when we had low test scores, when we had threats of school
takeovers, when we had a $58 million deficit. We don't have that here,"
Mitchell said.
