Wade Henderson, President and CEO of The Leadership Conference and the Joseph L. Rauh, Jr. Chair of Public Interest Law, is calling on automakers in Alabama to help repeal the state's immigration law, which requires police to ask people for their papers during routine traffic stops and forbids the government from doing business with anyone who is undocumented.

"We're asking them to use their influence, we're asking them to use their persuasive voice to encourage legislators to do the right thing," said Wade Henderson during a conference call Monday. "We think this public education campaign is the best way to begin the process that will lead to repeal."
