Kristen Walker, 2L, completed an internship this past summer with the U.S. Attorney’s Office. According to Walker there was rarely a typical day at the U.S. Attorney’s Office due to the high number of criminal and civil cases in both the federal and local courts. Walker supported Assistant U.S. Attorneys and Advocates in researching, building, and trying their cases. Some of her most memorable experiences include hectic days in court, murder investigations, witness security emergencies, domestic violence intakes, community outreach events with the Principal and Executive Assistant U.S. Attorneys, and various Department of Justice seminars. "My internship at the U.S. Attorney's Office was an incredible learning experience that allowed me to gain valuable insight into our legal system while working alongside some of the most talented and dedicated attorneys in the country, including alums from the Antioch School of Law," said Kristen Walker.
