Congratulations to alum, Dominic Vorv, '99, right, who earlier this year was named President Elect of the Bar Association of the District of Columbia (BADC)! Chief Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals performed the inductions of the officers.
Founded in 1871, BADC is one of the oldest bar associations in the nation.
Dominic has long served the Hispanic legal community. He served as the President of the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association in 2006 and as Chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Bar Association of the District of Columbia in 2007. During his time in that role, he coordinated a legal radio show. He has served on the board of the Hispanic Bar Association of the District Of Columbia for several years and for the Greater Ibero Chamber of Commerce. He has served on the board of the Council for Court Excellence in the District of Columbia since 2009.
