Shelley Broderick, who stepped down as UDC Law Dean this year to begin a well-deserved sabbatical before returning as a member of the faculty, was featured in the July edition of Diverse: Issues in Higher Education. In the article, titled "A Social Justice Lawyer," Broderick reflects on her long career as a public interest lawyer in Washington, D.C., culminating in her twenty-year term of leadership at UDC Law.

In all that time, Broderick says, "[t]he thing that I'm proudest of is our alumni. Every place I go, I run into our alumni, hear from them or heart about them. They are succeeding, achieving, and carrying on the mission of this law school. That makes my heart sing.”

The latest issue of Diverse, which can be viewed here, also named UDC Law No. 16 in the nation for African American law graduates.
