UDC Law is second in the nation in public interest and government job placement based on data released by the American Bar Association this month. As explained in the National Law Journal (subscription required), 40.85 percent of the 2017 graduating class secured government or public interest jobs.

In addition to this recent recognition, UDC Law also came in at No. 8 for clinical training in the U.S. News & World Report Best Law Schools 2019 and No. 10 for best schools for public service in the Winter 2018 issue of preLaw.

UDC Law is committed to the public interest and focused on extensive practical training. Our students and faculty provide more than 100,000 hours of legal services to D.C. residents each year. Through their work in our clinical program, each student provides more than 600 hours of pro bono legal services under the supervision of clinical faculty to gain direct, hands-on experience. This experience helps them develop valuable skills needed to solve real world problems. In addition, our part-time evening program allows students to work while in school and to bring their own areas of expertise to their legal education.
