Edgar Cahn and Christine GrayA belated congratulations to Prof. Edgar Cahn and Adjunct Professor Christine Gray, PhD, upon the publication by NYU of their article,

"CLINICAL LEGAL EDUCATION: WHERE NEXT? CLIENTS AS COPRODUCERS OF SYSTEM CHANGE."

According to Cahn and Gray, the time has come to reexamine the provision of legal services paradigm that makes clients passive consumers of assistance.  They write, "This essay explores how we can teach our students approaches that enable clients to exercise powers as an active citizenry engaged in pursuit of social justice."

The article is, in effect, a powerful call to subvert/transform the now-dominant clinical legal education paradigm that Professor Cahn and his late wife Jean Camper Cahn labored so long and effectively to create!
