On Saturday, February 10, 2018, the UDC Law BLSA Moot Court team won the Mid-Atlantic BLSA Frederick Douglas Moot Court Competition.

Congratulations to Denisha Jones ’18 and Alicia Lewis ’18, who represented the UDC BLSA team. Congratulations also to Professor Saleema Snow, Advisor, and to Prof. Amy Saginaw and student volunteer, Stephan Waters, who put in hours of hard work as the team’s oral advocacy coaches. We are equally elated that the team received recognition for the highest scoring brief and Alicia Lewis won highest score overall.

Alicia and Denisha prevailed over competing teams, hailing from six states and the District of Columbia.  Our Champions head to New York City in March to compete in BLSA’s National Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition, so be sure to congratulate them.

Congratulations to the UDC Law BLSA Moot Court Team - the the Mid-Atlantic Frederick Douglass Moot Court CHAMPS! # 1 overall; best brief, and Alicia Lewis: Best Oralist. Photos of Denisha Jones and Alicia Lewis
