Aysha Iqbal, '17, Alberto Ortiz, '16 and Matthew Kaplan, ’16 to US DOJ Honors Program!

Matthew Kaplan, Aysha Iqbal and Alberto Ortiz

The School of Law congratulates Matthew Kaplan, '16, Aysha Iqbal, '17 and Alberto Ortiz, '16 upon their selection for the highly competitive and prestigious United States Department  of Justice's Honors Program.

Matt, who has served as a judicial law clerk for the Senior Judges on the D.C. Court of Appeals, will work at the DOJ Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR's) Office of the Chief Administrative Hearing Officer (OCAHO) in Washington, DC.

Aysha will work at the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) in Cleveland, Ohio as a law clerk for an immigration law judge or judges.

Alberto, who has been the judicial law clerk for DC Superior Court Judge Gerald Fisher, will work at the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) in New York also as an Attorney Advisor for an immigration judge.  

(All three are alums of the UDC Law Immigration and Human Rights Clinic!)
