The J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association (Maryland Chapter of the National Bar Association) collaborates with the Judicial Resources Committee of the U.S. Judicial Conference and the Just the Beginning–Diversity Project to assist judges in placing exceptional, minority, underrepresented and/or economically disadvantaged law students in judge chambers for six weeks in unpaid summer internships in federal and state appellate, federal district, bankruptcy and magistrate judges’ chambers throughout the U.S. OCPD has asked a representative from the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association (who is also a 2017 alumna) to conduct outreach, share details about the program and help students prepare their applications.
