Save the Date: Reimagining Community Economic Development on March 27, 2020 from 8:00 am - 6:15 pm presented by UDC Law Review & UDC Community Development Law Clinic at 4340 Connecticut Avenue NW Washington, DC 20008

The UDC Law Review will bring together lawyers, economists, community leaders, and policy experts to discuss the future of community economic development. Experts will discuss the goals of community economic development, including revitalizing communities, developing and rehabilitating affordable housing, attracting investments, creating jobs, and building wealth. In addition, experts will critically examine the recurring policy and economic bias, and also discuss new ideas, approaches, and opportunities.

Symposium topics include:

  • Structural Inequality in America
  • The Wealth Gap
  • Equity, Ownership, and Access to Capital
  • Access to Environmental Justice
  • Racial Capitalism and Systems Change
