Building Justice Faculty Auction
The Women's Law Society hosted the Building Justice Faculty Auction supporting the St. Bernard’s Parish Project Women’s Build Week. We raised over $1000 in 90 minutes. Professors Waysdorf and McLain presented a certificate from the Women's Law Society to the Project leaders on their recent trip to New Orleans, where both professors were honored by the Louisiana State Bar Association for their pro bono legal work in the continuing aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Over 30 members and guests recently attended The Women's Law Society recognition luncheon of the Best Law Firms for Women as recognized by Working Mother Magazine, the authoritative source for career mothers, and Flex-Time Lawyers LLC, a national consulting firm advising attorneys and legal employers on work-life balance and the retention and advancement of women.

The winning firms are notable for their work/life and women-friendly policies-including flex-time, child care and women-focused mentoring, leadership and networking programs-as they set new standards to retain and promote top female legal talent.
