Mission:
Our mission is to provide opportunities for Latino/a students at UDC-DCSL and educate the law school community about our culture. In addition, LLSA collaborates with other ethnic based student organizations to discuss pertinent issues affecting the Latino/a community. Our vibrant membership is comprised of both Spanish-speakers and non-Spanish speakers, and represents many different countries.

Environmental Justice -- Alaska to the Anacostia
What is Environmental Justice? Who is fighting for it? Is there environmental racism in Washington, DC? How can I be an environmental justice lawyer? Join us for a discussion with attorneys and organizers from Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Public Interest Research Group (PIRG), and Sierra Club. Lunch will be provided. Rm. 201 from 12:00pm-2:00 pm.

Dia de los Muertos - Immigration Law (Criminal Law and Policy)
A dialogue among Immigration experts and students interested in practicing in the field focusing on the way in which the law handles the influx of legal and illegal immigrants coming to the U.S. We will look at the cultural perspectives, economic impacts, and legal effects of immigration.
