Ms. López is the Director of Development for the School of Law, where she is responsible for development strategic planning, prospect research, grants administration, campaign and special appeals fundraising, and special event planning. Born and raised in suburban Los Angeles, Ms. López graduated from the University of Southern California, double majoring in English and Gender Studies. After graduating, she worked for a magazine in advertising sales, and as a contributing editor, before joining the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center to work in corporate relations and major gifts. Ms. López moved to Washington, DC in the spring of 1999, to join the staff of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) as a fundraising event manager. While there, she managed dozens of fundraising events annually, including gala dinners, amateur golf tournaments and theater benefits. Ms. López joined the American Constitution Society (ACS) in 2004 where she develop and implement major and recurring gifts programs. She also oversaw the membership, direct mail and online giving programs and managed ACS’s annual 1,000 person national convention. Ms. López joined the School of Law in August 2008.
