Carla P. Wale
Associate Dean for Law Library & IT Services

Carla P. Wale is the Associate Dean for Law Library and Information Technology Services at the University of the District of Columbia’s David A. Clarke School of Law. Her scholarly interests include legal research pedagogy, technology in legal education, and organizational leadership.

Prior to joining UDC Law, Dean Wale served as the Head of Public Services and Interim Director at the Temple University Beasley School of Law Library. She began her career as the Research and Electronic Technologies Librarian and an Assistant Professor at Northern Illinois University College of Law and subsequently served as a Reference Librarian at Georgetown University Law Center.

Dean Wale holds a B.A. in Political Science from Washington State University, a J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, and an M.L.I.S. specializing in Law Librarianship from the University of Washington. She is a fellow of the Harvard University Graduate School of Education Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians, a fellow of the American Association of Law Libraries Leadership Academy, a past president of the Greater Philadelphia Law Library Association, and an M.B.A candidate at Johns Hopkins University.
