Evan MascagniUnder the supervision of Clinical Teaching Fellow Maunica Sthanki, Immigration and Human Rights Clinic students Evan Mascagni ’11, Joseph Spilatro ’11, and 3Ls Staci Makris, Marisa Dada, Kelsey Genevich, and H. Professor John Brittain was part of the National Coalition on School Diversity that persuaded the Departments of Education and Justice to reverse the Bush Administration’s interpretation of the Parents Involved (US 2007) and the Grutter/Gratz (US 1995) University of Michigan cases regarding the use of race in education. Professor John Brittain was also quoted in The Afro about a lawsuit where he serves as co-counsel seeking $2.1 billion to remedy disparities between Maryland's historically Black colleges and universities and its traditionally White institutions. Read More.

Professor Wade Henderson was quoted in The Nation on discrimination in voting rights. Read More.

Professor Matthew Fraidin was quoted in The Washington Post on the new director of the Child and Family Services Agency. He also has a new blog post in The Huffington Post on changing the narrative in media coverage focusing on child welfare.

Margo Cowan '85 was on NPR on smart immigration enforcement, interviewed by Fox11 Arizona calling on the Department of Homeland Security to close more than 60 immigrant deportation cases, and was in the Arizona Daily Star calling on ICE to halt deportation of her client.
