Vanessa WilliamsVanessa Williams, '99, has thrown her hat in the ring for a Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana family court judgeship.  She will be running against one other candidate in a special election in October for a spot on the "Division G 21st Judicial District Court."

Williams is currently an assistant district attorney for 21st Judicial District Attorney Scott Perrillioux. She is married to former NFL wide receiver and village of Tangipahoa Mayor Michael Jackson.

The news was brought to our attention by her daughter, LaToia Williams-Dyson, a student at UDC-DCSL in the Class of 2014, who is the President of our BLSA Chapter!
