Andrew Galbreath '98 Joins Whiteford’s International Practice

Andrew Galbreath '98 has joined Whiteford Taylor & Preston's International and Corporate practices in the Washington office. Mr. Galbreath is a former General Counsel to a privately held international petroleum company and has represented and advised oil and gas companies across a wide range of transactions and operations internationally. He is an active member of the Association of International of Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) and a member of its model agreement drafting committee.

His experience extends to general corporate matters, commercial transactions, project finance, international trade compliance including OFAC sanctions, and international administrative law/and dispute resolution. Mr. Galbreath’s international experience includes representing clients in transactions in the Middle East and North Africa, Asia, South America, Europe and in the USA. He also has advised and represented many staff through the grievance systems and ethics and disciplinary processes at international organizations including the World Bank, IMF and Asian Development Bank. He has numerous reported cases including BB v. IFC, WBAT Decision No. 426.

He received his J.D. from the District of Columbia School of Law in 1998, cum laude, and was Notes Editor of the Law Review. He graduated with his B.A. degree from Providence College in Rhode Island. He is admitted in the District of Columbia. Martin Fletcher, the firm's Managing Partner, commented, "We are delighted to welcome Andrew to the firm.
