Environmental Activist Michael Ewall '11 Publishes Earth Day Expose

Michael Ewall, ’11 alum and founder and director of Energy Justice Network, published his expose on the corporatization of Earth Day in several places including Truthout and Corporations.org. The Ad Council, which is criticized in his article, also linked to the article.

Michael Ewall writes, "The Ad Council strategy is a blame-shifting public relations tactic. These are the dominant institutions of our time saying that they are not the cause of social problems – you are…that they don’t need to change to solve the problems – you do.”
