In The Huffington Post Andrea Lyon '76 discusses inaccurate reporting on the death of Trayvon Martin. Andrea Lyon writes, "Like most situations involving human beings, the truth here is neither simple nor obvious. Certainly the tragedy of Trayvon Martin's death is clear, as well as and the fact that George Zimmerman shot him.
What is not clear: the facts and their context. For these to be found, a careful investigation is needed, and any resulting prosecution should be based on the facts not the hyperbole."
Andrea Lyon graduated from the Antioch School of Law in 1976. She is now a Clinical Professor of Law, Associate Dean of Clinical Programs, and Director of the Center for Justice in Capital Cases at the DePaul University College of Law. Click here to read her full bio.
