Maryland Delegate Keiffer Mitchell '94 Votes in Favor of MD Same-Sex Marriage Law

Maryland Delegate Keiffer Mitchell (D-Baltimore), '94, voted last week in favor of the same-sex marriage bill in the Maryland House of Delegates. Approval of the bill by the Maryland Senate and Gov. Martin O'Malley would make Maryland the eighth state to legalize the same-sex unions. Mitchell was quoted in The New York Times saying, "This is the civil rights issue of our generation."
