Professor John Brittain was a featured speaker at the Magnet Schools of
America panel discussion in the Rayburn House Office Building on February 14th. Education
Week contributing writer Mark Walsh led the panel discussion with Professor
Brittain discussing the legal parameters of using race to promote
diversity. in schools. Professor Brittain advised school districts could use race in
their school assignment policies when part of a broad range of factors.
