On Saturday, October 15, 2011, members and friends of the Women's Law Society participated in the Light the Night Walk in DC. The Light the Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual fundraising walk to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling blood cancers. The organization encourages every Light the Night walker to become a Champion for Cures by raising $100 or more to aid in the fight against blood cancers. The funds that are raised provide lifesaving blood cancer research, free educational materials and events for patients and their families, support for local programs such as Family Support the Night Walk Information Resource Center. We are very proud to announce that the UDC-DCSL Women's Law Society team raised $1,570 to support this cause!
