Congratulations to Associate Dean of Students Annamaria Steward for being awarded the National Bar Association’s 2011 Junius W. Williams Young Lawyer of the Year Award. The National Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division selected Dean Steward for this award because she embodies the qualities and characteristics of an exceptional lawyer and represents the purpose of this year’s NBA theme, "Strengthening the Pipeline of Our Profession.”
The award was presented to Dean Steward at the Junius W. Williams luncheon, held on Monday, August 1, 2011 at the National Bar Association’s 86th annual convention in Baltimore, MD. The National Bar Association is the nation’s oldest and largest association of predominantly African American lawyers, judges, and law students.
The School of Law is incredibly fortunate to benefit from Dean Steward’s dedication to students and the legal profession, and congratulates her on this wonderful award! Click here to read Dean Steward’s full biography.
