Susanne Obrock, a rising 2L, is completing an internship this summer at the National Crime Victim Bar Association, an affiliate and program of The National Center for Victims of Crime dedicated to finding civil remedies for victims of crime. At her internship Obrock has been able to speak directly with victims of crime and help them find attorneys willing to take on their case. At the National Center for Victims of Crime 2011 National Conference, Susanne Obrock was able to meet several lawyers working on 9/11 victim’s compensation cases, as well as former NFL linebacker Al Chesley.
Overall, her internship at the National Crime Victim Bar Association has been a very rewarding experience. Obrock said, "I strongly believe in what the National Center for Victims of Crime does. It is a great organization."
