Tyrone Hanley, ’13, has been named a 2011 Capital Pride Hero
for advancing the causes of the LGBT community. Capital Pride will be hosting
the Heroes Gala and Auction at the House of Sweden on Tuesday, June 7th to
honor all 6 recipients of this year’s award. Click here

Tyrone Hanley is currently Co-President of OutLaw. He was also the former HIV Prevention Manager
for the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League and Youth Program
Co-Coordinator for the Gender Public Policy Advocacy Coalition. He has
volunteered with Youth Pride Alliance as President, the Children's National
Medical Center's Outreach Program for Gender-Variant Children, DC Trans
Coalition, Helping Individual Prostitutes Survive (HIPS), and the Mayor's GBLT
Affairs Advisory Committee.
