Professor Cahn and Keri Nash, '09 On Legal Strategy for Combating Racism

Professor Edgar Cahn, Keri Nash, ‘09, and Cynthia Robbins have a new article in this month’s Poverty and Race titled, "A Strategy for Dismantling Structural Racism in the Juvenile Delinquency System.” The article discusses how structural racism leads to high rates of incarceration for minorities, and how the Racial Justice Initiative (RJI) of TimeBanks USA has developed a new social advocacy and litigation strategy focused on dismantling racism in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. RJI looks to dismantle structural racism in the juvenile delinquency system by seeking ways to compel public officials to use what we know works. Click here to read the full article.
