It's always fun to see our alumni mentioned or quoted in The Washington Post!
This morning in the Metro section, nationally known criminal defense attorney, Bernie Grimm, '83, a frequent guest analyst on Greta Van Susteren's Fox News show, was quoted in the course of his defense of one of the men accused of conspiring to cover up the fatal stabbing of Robert Wone, arguing that the police fixated on the unusual relationship of the three housemates on trial.
In the Health & Science section, Caroline Smith DeWaal, '85, Food Safety Director for the Center for Science in the Public Interest, was quoted at some length in an article on the safety of pre-cut lettuce. DeWaal argued, "The FDA needs much more authority to set standards on the farm, and that's contained in the legislation that's been passed by the House and is currently being considered in the Senate."
