On May 8, at the National Museum of Women and the Arts, the Trial Lawyers Association of Washington honored Dean Katherine "Shelley" Broderick as a Champion of Justice for her successful efforts to establish, protect and develop the UDC David A. Clarke School of Law.
This award honor has only been bestowed three times before - once a decade. The past winners were Earl Davis, David Clarke and Jack Olender.
The Dean was introduced by former DC Court of Appeals Chief Judge (and UDC-DCSL law professor) William Pryor, pictured below. Below Judge Pryor she is pictured with Annie Kaplan, Trial Lawyers' President and below that, with Keith Waters. Further below are Jack Olender and Judge Pryor and, at bottom, is the Dean speaking.
