Association of American Publishers honor Professor Ferguson and NYU Press with PROSE Award

WASHINGTON – UDC Law congratulates Professor Andrew Ferguson for winning a PROSE Award for The Rise of Big Data Policing: Surveillance, Race, and the Future of Law Enforcement. The Professional and Scholarly Publishing (PSP) Division of the Association of American Publishers (AAP) has awarded Professor Ferguson and New York University Press with the 2018 PROSE Award in the Law & Legal Studies category for the book.

The Rise of Big Data Policing has been making waves in the criminal justice community since its release, with the professor appearing in several media outlets to further discuss the ideas presented in the book. According to the AAP website, the PROSE Awards “recognize the very best in professional and scholarly publishing by bringing attention to distinguished books, journals, and electronic content in 58 categories.”
