The School of Law congratulates our long-time Professional Responsibility Adjunct Professor of Law, DC Court of Appeals Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby, who has been chosen by the DC Judicial Nomination Commission to serve as the Chief Judge of the District’s Highest Court!  See the Washington Post Story.

School of Law Dean Shelley Broderick said, "I have had the honor and the pleasure of serving for years with Judge Blackburne-Rigsby on the DC Access to Justice Commission. She is a wonderful advocate for justice and a true role model for our students in Professional Responsibility. Her appointment as Chief Judge will do so much for all of our DC residents as they negotiate the court system in the District of Columbia."
