John Brittain to Join Law Faculty

Renown civil rights attorney and former Thurgood Marshall School of Law Dean, John Brittain, has joined the UDC-DCSL faculty as a Visiting Professor for academic year 2009-2010.  Brittain comes to UDC from the DC-based Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law where he served as Chief Counsel and Senior Deputy.  Read his faculty biography .
UDC-DCSL Dean Shelley Broderick says, "John Brittain is a true and life-long advocate for justice, particularly in the areas of civil rights and civil liberties. He is a seasoned litigator, a gifted teacher, and an inspiring public speaker.  We're incredibly fortunate and thrilled to have him join our faculty!"

Yes, Prof. Brittain will be teaching Torts in the Part-Time division and a section of Civil Procedure in the full time program.
