Naima Quarles-Burnley, '84, Succeeds Rachel Dolezal as Pres. of Spokane NAACP

Alumna Naima Quarles-Burnley, '84 is succeeding Rachel Dolezal as president of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP.  Dolezal, who made national news when it was revealed that she had been, in essence, a white woman "passing" as African American, stepped down and has been replaced by Quarles-Burnley, a former legal services attorney, minister and long-time public service professional, who was serving as a chapter vice-president.
