As DC People's Counsel, Sandra Mattavous-Frye, '83 is charged with protecting the interests of the District's utility ratepayers and the environment.  Her letter opposing the takeover of PEPCO by Exelon was published on June 8, 2015 by the Washington Post.

Read the letter HERE.

Interestingly, another alumna, Paula Carmody, '80 is People's Counsel for the state of Maryland - and opposes the takeover for many of the same reasons.
