On Thursday, April 23, 2015, ACLU attorney Ben Wizner, a legal counselor to internationally famous whistle-blower Edward Snowden, was interviewed by UDC Law Dean Shelley Broderick

Mr. Wizner, who had been drawn into civil liberties as a result of 8 years of what he called “The Cheney Administration,” knew Laura Poitras, the reporter for The Guardian who had been emailed by someone calling himself  “CitizenFour.”  Fearing someone might be trying to set her up, she consulted with Wizner. Later, when Snowden was stranded in Moscow, her colleague Glenn Greenwald asked Wizner and the ACLU to act as Snowden’s legal advisors.

The interview is relatively short, and includes Mr. Wizner’s discussion of some of the top related political issues and legal cases  – please consider viewing it below.
