Thousands Dead, Few Prosecuted: W Post Relies on Phil Stinson, '92's Research

Phil Stinson, '92, a Bowling Green State University criminologist, was quoted on the front page of the Sunday, April 12 Washington Post in an extensive story on police violence that relied heavily on Stinson's research. See: Thousands Dead, Few Prosecuted

“They [police] are used to giving commands and people obeying,” said Stinson, who previously worked as a police officer. “They don’t like it when people don’t listen to them, and things can quickly become violent when people don’t follow their orders.”
