Kris Miccio, '85 Honorary Member of Law Society of Ireland!

Multi-level congrats to alumna Kris McDaniel Miccio, ’85, who has been awarded an Honorary Life Membership in the Law Society of Ireland! Past recipients include President Bill Clinton. President Mary Robinson (Ireland), President Michael Higgins (Ireland), Justice Antonin Scalia, Nobel Laureate poet Seamus Heaney, Noam Chomsky, Writer and Poet Eavan Boland and actor Martin Sheen, just to drop a few names. Kris is a University of Denver Sturm College of Law Professor, a Fulbright Scholar, a rabbi and a women’s rights’ activist. She recently won the Trinity College of Dublin (TCD) Long Room Scholar Award, for research and scholarship on lesbian and transgender identity. She married in November and filed a law suit against the State of Colorado, McDaniel-Miccio v Governor Hickenlooper.
