Congratulations to David Colapinto, '88, of Kohn, Kohn and Colapinto, named by the Washington Post and National Law Journal as one of the attorneys for former Metro employee Shahiq Khwaja who sued Metro under the False Claims Act over a no-bid contract which, he claimed, cost the taxpayer huge amounts of money.  US Attorney Ron Machen agreed, joined the case, and Metro settled, agreeing to pay $4.2 million to the US government, $600,000 to DC and $155,000 to Khwaja who will also receive $996,480 from the US as a result of the False Claims Act.
