Petula Dvorak's Washington Post column on June 24, 2014 was on the forty lucky "god-children" of Sharon Lockwood, a retired World Bank economist who has made inspiring local kids her avocation.  Dvorak ended her column with this quote from one of them, UDC Clarke School of Law student Brandon Wallace.

"At the party, he and Lockwood spun on the dance floor. 'She gives life and love to so many people,” Wallace said. “I have a mother who loves and supports me. But Sharon is like something else. It’s hard to explain.' "

Unfortunately this fabulous photograph of Brandon dancing with Ms. Lockwood, below, from the Post website, was not available in the print edition!
