Professor Andrew G. Ferguson's essay "Are We Failing the Citizenship Test?" was published on January 31, 2014 in the American Constitution Society's Blog  HERE

In his post, Ferguson suggests that we might be better served if the citizenship test (a 20th century creation modified during the McCarthy Era) were to focus less on historical and geographical facts and more on the knowledge and skills of "active citizenship" - which he suggests can be taught not only in school, but in jury panel waiting rooms and other civic places.
