Certainly no one would be surprised to find Professor John Brittain traveling the nation and speaking out for civil rights along with other civil rights heroes and political superstars - which was the case recently in Chicago when he appeared at a PUSH press conference with Rev. Jesse Jackson, Harvard's Charles Ogletree, Willie Gary, Barbara Arnwine and others.

But the following photos will surely shock the good professor's many fans: a public appearance  sans bow tie!!!!

The University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law,www.law.udc.edu, is among the nation's most racially, ethnically, class and age-diverse law schools. Its minimum of 740 hours of clinical public interest legal service - a sum exceeded by most of its students - is clear evidence that the UDC David A. Clarke School of Law is America's preeminent public interest law school.

Is that a Nehru Jacket? I haven't seen one of those (I actually had one) since the 1970s I think.
