Vince Cohen, Kylie Jones and US Atty Ron Machen

Kylie Jones, '15, has done her Summer Public Interest Fellowship with the  U.S. Attorney's office.  That's her, "a rose among thorns" between Vince Cohen and U.S. Attorney Ron Machen.

The UDC David A. Clarke School of Law Joseph L. Rauh, Jr. Summer Public Interest Fellowship Program places UDC law students at non-profit law firms, government agencies, and judicial chambers across the U.S. and even overseas- at no charge to the host organization.  Students must perform a minimum of 400 hours of law-related, lawyer-supervised work during the summer semester.  Since UDC law students must, in addition, perform a minimum of 40 hours of similar service during their first year in the Community Service Program, many return to the same organizations and agencies for their summer fellowships.

The University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law,, is among the nation's most racially, ethnically, class and age-diverse law schools. Its minimum of 740 hours of clinical public interest legal service - a sum exceeded by most of its students - is clear evidence that the UDC David A. Clarke School of Law is America's preeminent public interest law school.
