The School of Law thanked UDC President Allen Sessoms and Vice President Barbara Jumper for providing a building and a beautiful build out for the law program at a reception held November 30, 2012. Ward 3 D.C. Councilmember Mary Cheh joined Dean Shelley Broderick, President Sessoms and VP Jumper in a festive ribbon cutting. Faculty, staff, board members and friends celebrated the completion of the state-of-the-art moot court room and the newly installed Joseph Rauh Memorabilia and Robert Wald Photographic collections. School of Law Board Chair Michael Rauh said, "Now we have a real law school!" View photos from the event below.
The moot court room accommodates 150 in tiered seating. Transom windows allow access to natural lighting. In January we will host a formal ribbon cutting ceremony where the D.C. Court of Appeals hears an appellate argument at the official opening of the moot court room.
