Shaun W. Allende, Esq., '11 alum and managing partner and owner of The Law
Office of Shaun Allende, was featured in The Maryland Daily Record discussing how to set up a solo practice shortly after law school.
"For the most part, I was thrown into the situation,” Allende said. "Friends started giving me clients. There was no big, huge plan. It’s just kind of been like building as I go. It’s like, ‘I’m about to get a check tomorrow. I need a trust account.’”
He has six clients and is building his website after starting his practice in February. To supplement his income, he is doing document review. He works at the document review job all day, until 7 or 8 p.m., he said; then he works on his own cases until 1 a.m. during the week.
