Associate Professor of Law

B.A., Syracuse University, 1972; J.D., Antioch School of Law, 1983.

Associate Professor Brown was appointed to the faculty in 1997, and teaches Advanced Torts, Property I and II and Wills and Estates. She has designed and implemented a Consumer Law: Rights and Responsibility course for upward bound and other District high school students on behalf of the University of the District of Columbia. She directed the Mason Enhancement Program for Academic Success during the summer of 2002 and has taught Introduction to Torts in the program for several years. She is also faculty advisor to the Christian Law Society. Professor Brown served as Associate Dean for Administration and Finance from 1988 through 2001. She directed the Paralegal Training Program at Antioch School of Law prior to that time. She has worked as a social work supervisor in Crisis and Resource Management in Portsmouth, Virginia, and was in private practice in both the District and Virginia.
