For more than thirty years -- as a banker, fund manager, consultant and, more recently, professor -- Bernard Lietaer has studied money and its impacts. He has led the field in studying, analyzing, and designing complementary and alternative currencies.

Jacqui Dunne is an award-winning journalist, and founder of Danu Resources, which seeks to create a paradigm shift for a "quadruple bottom line:" people, planet, profits, and power within.

The book being released publicly is "brilliant in its directness and simplicity," writes Thom Hartmann: a "must" read. It is "a superb job," comments Marjorie Kelly.

Their presentation at the UDC David A. Clarke School of Law represents a special opportunity to interact directly with Bernard and Jacqui as they share some of the key thinking and stories in Rethinking Money. It is a rare opportunity to hear and enter into discussion with leading thinkers about a topic that is so central to our times.

Money is not what we may have thought it was. You will learn how we have built into our currency a dynamic that drives inequality, generates boom and bust and imposes scarcity in the midst of potential abundance. In addition, you will learn about the ways in which hundreds if not thousands of alternative currencies in use around the world have in fact cracked the artificial scarcity imposed by our monetary system.
