SUPREME COURT IN THE BALANCE:

A NOMINATION FIGHT TO RESHAPE THE COURT

With public attention turning to the Supreme Court Nomination, join the American Constitution Society for a conversation on the constitutional consequences of this nomination. Professor John Brittain will be joined by Chris Geidner, award-winning legal editor at BuzzFeed News, to break down the nomination and help us understand the landscape of the fight lies ahead.

Who:

Geidner is an award-winning journalist based out of D.C. who covered LGBT political and legal issues for several years before expanding his coverage to include the Supreme Court and national legal affairs more broadly. His current work includes a focus on the death penalty and other criminal justice issues.

Professor Brittain writes and litigates on issues in civil and human rights, especially in education law and has participated in filing nearly a dozen briefs in the United States Supreme Court.

Where: Room 515
When: Thursday, February 25 at 5 p.m.

Cosponsored by the ACS Student Chapters from UDC Law and Howard Law. California Tortilla will be provided.
