Dear Students,

The Catholic University of America Columbus Law School, has graciously opened its fall externship fair to other law schools in Washington DC, including UDC-DCSL. The fair will take place on Tuesday, November 11 from 4:00 pm until 7:30 pm. This is a terrific opportunity to learn about potential placements for volunteer internships during the school year, and for UDC-DCSL summer Equal Justice fellowships.

For second and third year students interested in taking the academic internship class offered in the spring and summer, this is also an excellent way to learn about prospective placements. Dena Bauman, Career Services Director, is happy to answer your questions about all of our programs and what specific placements would qualify. She will attend the fair.

Bring copies of your resume, and meet with a variety of prospective externship placement supervisors!

Exhibitors include:

  • Archdiocese for the Military Services
  • Bread for the City
  • FCC, Media Bureau, Policy Division
  • The Legal Aid Society
  • Legal Resource Center on Violence against Women (LRC)
  • Office of General Counsel, CUA
  • Public Defender, City of Alexandria
  • National Geographic Channel
  • Service Employee International Union
  • Chambers of Chief Judge Eric Washington
  • United States, Department of Labor
  • Department of Justice
  • Office of the Air Force General Counsel
  • Securities and Exchange Commission, Enforcement Division
  • And others!

Students will need to plan to take Metro to the Columbus School of Law. They are located on the Red line at the Brookland/CUA stop. Exit the station to the left, cross the street to the sidewalk, turn right on John McCormack Road and continue to the law school building. * Don't walk into the main campus.*
