Presents a Community Outreach Forum
A Conversation with the Leading Candidates for Mayor and Council Chair – Mayor Fenty, Council Chair Gray, Councilmember Brown, and former Councilmember Orange
On July 29 leading candidates for mayor and council chair of the District of Columbia will participate in a Community Outreach Forum presented by the D.C. Bar District of Columbia Affairs Section.
Moderators Bruce DePuyt of News Channel 8 and former councilmember Kathy Patterson will lead an in-depth conversation with Kwame Brown, Vincent Gray, and Vincent Orange about the future of the District and its government. Mayor Adrian M. Fenty also has been invited.
The free event takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the University of the District of Columbia’s UDC Auditorium, Building 46E, located at 4200 Connecticut Avenue NW. Doors open at 6 p.m.
The forum is cosponsored by the American Civil Liberties Union of the National Capital Area, Bar Association of the District of Columbia, Consortium of Universities, D.C. Access to Justice Commission, DC Appleseed Center, D.C. Consortium of Legal Services Providers, D.C. Vote, Defeat Poverty D.C., the NAACP, and UDC David A. Clarke School of Law.
